3/ My BIG brother : Adolf Loos’ - Ornament and Crime

This guy NAMED is ADOLF LOOS………….
Adolf Franz Karl Viktor Maria Loos (10 December 1870 – 23 August 1933) was a Moravian-born  Austro-Hungarian architect. He was influential in European Modern architecture. His designs and writings had a great influence on the development of 20th century architecture.

WHAT  I KNOWS  BOUT THIS GUY?
THE most important thing is, ADOLF LOos is passion for all aspects of design, lifestyle and taste, and the breadth of his ideas it is essential to read his own collected writings. in his essays, Loos was fond of using the provocative catch phrase and has become noted for one particular essay or manifesto entitled Ornament and Crime, written in 1908, in which he repudiated the florid style of the Vienna Secession, the Austrian version of Art Nouveau.
In this essay, he explored the idea that the progress of culture is associated with the deletion of ornament from everyday objects, and that it was therefore a crime to force craftsmen or builders to waste their time on ornamentation that served to hasten the time when an object would become obsolete.
And the greats one the most I like becouse Loos was also interested in the decorative arts, collecting sterling silver and high quality leather goods, which he noted for their plain yet luxurious appeal. He also enjoyed fashion and men's clothing/fashion, designing the famed Knize of Vienna, a haberdashery.  This man is very details and careful selection of materials and use of 'Raumplan' the considered ordering and size of interior spaces based on function  are still admired today.

Adolf Loos’ Steiner house, built in 1910 in Vienna, is an excellent example of his ability to work creatively and effectively within constraints, and what the most I like because the simplicity of loos design, the practicality for a simple life in another words AND THEORY …….
Simple + functional + UP TO DATE = LIFE STYE/TREND

my title work / fashion design…..

In my case of doing this design, I’m focusing into simplicity and practicality by using the bright color elements. LINES & COLORS become trend and practicality is the keys of market needs today. When I’m creating a design, I’m creating+thinking a mass production products design and im not to couture or avangard design. Like loos’ theory  simplicity is the trend and culture needs, up to date and long lasting…… as a fashion student its so hard to  predict the trend, design, pattern and color cause humans need and choice are deference and also depending on social levels and class of economy…..

BIg DESIGNERS, used elements of simplicity and practicality in the design because a changers of lifestyle and trends people todays, in another word, the design must fallows function and occasion needs…

In my own definition about adolf loos’ / is a ornament a crime/1908
Loos  believe and practice ‘ LESS IS MORE’, lack of texture details or embellishments, focus more on the function/ functional design/ form+function, loos believe function is the beauty or style and using a pure form or shapes..
